    [DND5] Vul's DND5 - H-E - Dungeons of Borenad (Sundays 7PM EST)

This is what I'll be using for hiatus from the main campaign. Much more limited in scope than before. The campaign setting will be my own world, Halar-Ezeon, taking place entirely in The Kingdom of Borenad. The main story and action are centered around several dungeons, meaning that this is a dungeon crawler.

Try to use spoiler tags for any story-relevant information.

    Introduction:

Welcome to Dungeons of Borenad! This campaign takes place in the setting of Halar-Ezeon, on the continent of Yesoris, in the Kingdom of Borenad. Borenad has been a kingdom for hundreds of years and its cultural origins stretch back to ancient times. The capital the city of Highwatch, is one of the oldest and largest surviving cities in the world.

Not all is well in Borenad, though. You and your companions are a small band that travels the kingdom solving problems and dealing with different kinds of local dangers.

You all had formed your party to take on some of these problems, eventually finding yourself in the town of Rimehill.

    The Five Basic Rules:

    1. Behave yourself. (Should go without saying)
    2. Don't take the game personally.
    3. Players and Characters must be able to work with the table and party.
    4. Properly Label/Declare all of your rolls.
    5. My table is a NO WHINING zone.

    Scheduling:

Sunday nights - 3 hour sessions - Likely at 7PM EST

    Chargen:

Dungeons of Borenad - start at level 3.
    Use the standard array - 15 14 13 12 10 8
Talk to me about what you wanna play! ASK QUESTIONS!

Well I have been thinking of this. I believe I am going to go Dwarven (imagine that) Cheric. Using the Play test Forge Domain from UA.

You need to wait until Vul opens up a character slot and assigns it to you.

I'll be making a new table for it - so one step at a time. The plan is to start in two or three weeks.

Just a reminder: Dungeons = Cramped spaces, traps, puzzles, combat, and of course, survival.

I'm working on a half orc barbarian, path of the totem warrior, outlander background. Hope to have it mostly flushed out by next weekend.

I think I have Finn Cushean ready now, no idea what to spend the gold on so any thoughts or ideas on that would be appreciated.

    Re: [DND5] Vul's DND5 - H-E - Dungeons of Borenad (Sundays 7PM EST)

Some sorta mount, healing potions, silvered weapons, extra rations, If you use a spell book, maybe research and scribe additional spells. Plus X amount of money on hand to cover travel expenses to the first dungeon we do.

Not sure if getting magic items would be doable with 1K gold. I haven't done it on Belanar so not sure what the cost of them run in Vul's world.

    Re: [DND5] Vul's DND5 - H-E - Dungeons of Borenad (Sundays 7PM EST)

Ok, I worked the numbers for you Nal:

For the grand total of 120 gold you can get the following:

Pack Donkey - carry capacity 420 lbs
    Bit and Bridle
    Saddle pack
    2 saddle bags
    194 rations

Unfortunately I could not fit on mournful donkey bells. Any more and your poor Donkey will be overloaded. But you will have food to last you through your next 7 levels!!!!!!

    Bonn Appetite!!!!!

    Heads up for tonight -

I haven't gotten everything from everyone, so we'll be taking this week off so I can do more prep. I'd like it if everyone could get their characters in to me for review so we can start next week.

In the course of some prep, I checked in on the table - Make sure things are updated and correct.

I only need Grapper's Character, then. The rest of you just need to do whatever things I asked.

Well my sheet is mostly updated at this point. I only ran into one problem with the new sheet. It will not let me add any cantrips or spells. I click on the add button but nothing happens.

Good Job again tonight - Next time we start the journey to Highwatch and the next mission. It is approximately October in game. The weather grows cooler and turning darker and gloomier.
