It at least provides times but not locations. I noticed that most locations are added after the invasion starts which may or may not be helpful.

Locations are irrelevant to me since the removed the requirement from Flying. I just want the times.

I think I've missed all but 2 of them for one reason or another. I want to see how good of exp they are for 98-109 alts:

I had a cousin who lived his life around the tides, and when high tide was up he would surf, and when the tides were bad, he would work, eat or sleep. I really hope it does not take that kind of lifestyle to complete all of the zone invasions. Could not tell from your chart if there was a pattern, but the repeated Valshara indicates perhaps it is random and not rotating.

I'm not sure about the patterns. Most of the columns are not marked except some of the earlier ones which are finished. I thought perhaps having some idea when invasions were due might help folks who want to try and catch them. But since they are no longer needed for the Pathfinder Part 2 aka "Flying," I am not sure how useful they are now.

For me, I actually am starting my home projects for this coming summer and it helps me so I can plan my stuff in order to go enjoy a bit of these. I do like them and have managed to hit up two of them so far this week. I got a really nice artifact relic yesterday using my collected shards which bumped up my ilevel a bit.

Also I managed, inadvertently, to get the explore achievement for the island when I took off from the cliff at the flight point to go down to the SW beach looking to see if I could catch that rare mob. Landed amid merlocs and got the achievement, but the rare mob wasn't anywhere in sight. Oh well, all I need now is the rep and I can fly.

the only real reason to do the invasions now are for the achievement, plus the amount of nethershards you get for such little effort is nice as well.

I'd be interested in knowing this too.
... I guess I could test it out myself, but after having gone at the rep requirements for Pathfinder as hard as I could until I hit revered, I'm in a bit of a WoW slump.
I've been slumming with my D3 seasonal character, who got off to a slow start due to the season having started in the same week the patch dropped.
    (Blizzard's timing, impeccable as always!)
Are these invasions a long-term event, does anyone know?

They might be long term as in to the end of this era, like maybe patch 7.3 they might be gone, but think they would continue through 7.2.5, but I have no information backing that up just a guess.

Hello all, I heard over mumble last night that Wowhead had an invasion timer so I thought I would link that page here. It is not exactly the same as the one I linked in my original posting, but just has times, etc.

In my experience it's about 75% of a level for an alt 98-109 if you do all 6 Invasion Points.

Not a bad way to level however not doing some of the questing means some WQ won't be available at 110.

Thanks Noctiluca! That's not bad, although at the moment the invasions seem so widely spaced out that it's not necessarily efficient to wait for them either.

If it's your first 110, this is true, but for alts you don't need to get all the reps to friendly and etc. WQs unlock when you hit 110 regardless. Except for Suramar, of course, which will apparently always be the snag in the process.

Actually I thought suramar opened immediately too, after the first. You just need to do the little quest to find the lady to take you to the hideout and then get the flight point on the way out and you are good.

I went there before I was 110 on several of my toons. Yes, some of it was not open yet, because there is a series of story line quests to open up places and additional quests as well.

But I remember going in there after getting my first artifact weapon, way before I hit even 102. Was a challenge to be sure, but you certainly can go there before 110.

The WQs become available (enough to finish the emissary, although not as many as you'd see if you did the quests there), but you can't turn in the emissary quest without doing the starting quests for the zone, and getting Meredil open so Thalyssra is there.

It's not a huge obstacle - but I have a lot of alts, and I am heartily sick of it.

Some of my alts have really struggled with escorting Thalyssra through the hordes of attacking withered, and it's annoying to have to do that over and over.

The other zones, you can do the emissaries and hand them in immediately, whether or not you have previously done a single quest there.

But people with fewer alts, or more patience, might be less annoyed by this anyway.

I struggled with this as well. I have 14 level 110s, and some did have a harder time than others. I then discovered there were only a few withered that needed killed. Specifically the three that cast some kind of beam at the shield. I next learned that if I hit them with any kind of attack they would charge me, and I would hide behind the shield. Once they hit the shield a few times they die. All this can be done while staying inside the shield.

Re: I found an invasion timer page...

Yes....staying within her shield is the trick. I learned that on my first run through but I was on my lock who did not have any issues with these withered.

But with my mage it definitely was a different story...so I stayed within her shield with my mage and succeeded. Once you get to the cave the trick is to kill only those wisps that are tethered to the central boss before that boss becomes vulnerable.

I died twice in the cave before figuring that out. Was a breeze once you get those wisps down. Of all my toons, my frost mage had the hardest time. For some reason Bliz has not given the frost mage a self heal, unless you call that puny ice block a heal.....

Oh, that cave was nasty until figuring out to only kill the tethered wisps. That was nasty, until then.

I think it took several alts for me to figure this out. lol

Re: I found an invasion timer page...

My lock actually had the hardest time with it of anyone, even the melee.
I'm trying to remember why that was now, because the ranged classes were generally easier since they could stay in the shield and still hit the casting withered.
I think Thalyssra's shield was not always working. I remember logging out and reloading a lot, so something wasn't working right - but I appear to have blocked most of what I'm sure was a traumatic (or at least profoundly annoying) experience.

But you know. Mostly I'm just sick of it.

Her shield was not available in the cave...but there are several sections in the rings around that central boss where you could back into and sort los behind the pillars.

Easiest was to run into where the first/closest wisp was, target it and then back into one of those openings and pew, pew away. I remember the second wisp rotating around almost to where I stood so I just waited for it. But the third one seemed to be much slower and tended to stay just about where it spawned. I had to run out to target it and then find a spot just within range to damage it.

What I did was turn "assist" off on my pets and target one of the other wisps for the pets to attack then swapped over to target the closest one myself. Was a bit of a dance due to the ground aoe's from the mob. But worked once I figured out how they operated. I think they rotated counter-clock-wise.

What I remember is that if you do not kill the withered that are draining the shield first the shield will vanish. I had that problem the first time or so when I did this.

I was okay once I got to the cave part. But I was having trouble during the escort part, with thinking I was under the shield but still taking a lot of (potentially maybe sometimes fatal but I'm not committing one way or the other) damage.

Yes... my lock could have had this problem, where none of my other alts did. Not getting things down quickly (or at all) sounds like her kind of issue.
I will be the first to admit that I'm not very good at warlocking.
